MANCHESTER CITY, ARSENAL PROCEED FOR THE EFL CUP CLASH FINAL

Premier League frontrunners Manchester City beat Championship side Bristol 3-2 in their 2nd leg, making it 5-3 on aggregate to qualify for English Football League Cup against Arsenal . Manchester City started off with an advantage after a 2-1 1st leg win at Etihad.

Goals from Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero effectively saw the team win on Tuesday. Marlon and Aden Flint scored to equalise for the visiting team giving some hope to their fans. However, in-form Belgium midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne rounded off the scoring for Manchester City.

Manchester City’s last game saw ‘Kun Aguero’ scoring a hattrick against Newcastle as they picked up their winning victory to maintain their lead on the log. There have been performing extra well since the beginning of the season in both Champions league, premier league, FA Cup and EFL. Pep Guardiola is racing for trophies after he ended the campaign last season without a trophy for the first time in his managerial career.

Wednesday night saw the Gunners beating the Blues 2-1 on their 2nd leg of the semi-final booking them a ticket to the cup final match against Manchester City. Arsenal and Chelsea played to goalless draw in their 1st leg of the semi-final clash at Stamford Bridge. The game played at Emirates gave the team and fans a hope for a win as they were having home advantage.

The visitors early goal by world class midfielder Eden Hazard was cancelled as Rudiger made an own goal to level with Arsenal, with Xhaka scoring the final goal to nail Chelsea 2-1. Arsenal has been performing dismally in the past 5 league games as they only managed to win a game against Crystal Palace 4-1 in a weekend match last Saturday.

Both Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola have not been able to take the trophy to their side in their all time Premier league managerial careers. The Cup clash final will be held on the 25th of February at Wembley.
