Large crowd attend #Register #Inspect #Vote roadshow at Taita shops

The #Register #Inspect #Vote roadshow hosted by Chitungwiza Community Development Network (CCDN) attracted many youth, women, and men. The roadshow disseminated information on the importance of inspecting the voters roll that is verifying if personal details are correct.

The personal details that must be verified include name, national identity card number, polling station and ward in which one will be able to vote. The audience was also urged to register and vote.

The roadshow took place at Taita shops in Unit O, Chitungwiza where young artists provided entertainment by singing about the importance of registering to vote and inspecting the voters roll.

The theme of the roadshow was Register, Inspect and Vote #YoVoteYoFuture. The roadshow explained the three steps to vote in 2018 which are Biometric Voter Registration (BVR), Inspecting the voters roll to ensure that your details are entered and correctly spelt that is your name, ID number, voting ward, polling station, Vote on the Voting Day.

The roadshow further explained that it is actually every Zimbabwean right to vote as enshrined in the 2013 Zimbabwean constitution. You have the chance to influence the policy-making decisions you’re most passionate about by voting for your best representation said the Admire Mutize.

People were motivated to register to vote by our local upcoming artist which included Actress Goretta, Junior Fire, Gaza Queen, Iroy, Dadadidonke, Agent Dollato, Skadda T and Lady Squanda was the main attraction of the day.

“The aim of the roadshow is to encourage residents of Seke and Chitungwiza in general to register to vote for the upcoming 2018 elections”, said Eddington Shayanowako, the Director of CCDN during an interview with Chitownews Team.
