Bomani Scholarship beneficiary off to China

Dozens of people gathered at Zengeza 2 football ground in Chitungwiza on Saturday to host a farewell party to Miss Lueta Marembo,who benefited from a United Kingdom based philanthropist Mr Marakia Bomani.

Miss Marembo left Zimbabwe for China to study Masters in Environmental Science and Engineering.

She is a holder of an honours degree in development studies from Midlands State University in Zimbabwe.

The Marembo family were in seventh heaven as they bade farewell  and family representative Mrs Marembo saying she is very excited with the gesture.

” We didn’t expect such gesture from Mr Bomani and Amai Bomani I don’t have have much to say,” said Mrs Marembo.
Mr Setfree Mafukidze urged Luceta Marembo to keep on learning and have faith in whatever she is doing.

“If you go to China you must think outside the box because the Chinese also wants to learn English you can send money to look after your family through teaching Chinese the English language,” said Mafukidze.

Mr Nyasha Nhau the programs manager of Bomani scholarship said “the door is open to every child regardless of political affiliation.”

Mr Bomani speaking through Skype said “we are not only paying for scholarship but we are also focusing on employment. I’m trying to mobilise more resources to those who are qualified in different fields so that I will send them abroad to work for their families.”

Besides this Chinese scholarship Mr Bomani is also providing school fees for the under privilege children in chitungwiza since year 2015. He managed to pay school fees for 189 primary schools pupils since inception.
