LaLiga and UEFA champions league holders- Real Madrid still have a compelling strike force in Benzema, Bale and Christiano Ronaldo (BBC) which helped the team to secure a landslide victory at home against Deportivo La Coruna. For the past six weeks the club has not been at its climax performance-wise as they last won a game since December 9 when they trashed Sevilla 5-0.

Zinedine Zidane’s side has not been able to put on the pitch the feared BBC strike force due to injuries and suspensions. Bale was the playmaker as he scored 2 goals and 1 assisted one goal with Christiano also scoring 2 goals. Benzema joined the team as a substitute in the 65th minute to help the team to a 7-1 thrashing of ‎ Cristobal Parralos boys.

The teams performance on Sunday showed that they are still a threat in the Kings Cup and Champions league with arch-rivals Barcelona 19 points ahead of them in the Laliga. The  Santiago Bernabau based team face a challenging match as they clash with Frances giants PSG next month for the Champions league race.

Barcelona’s unbeaten run ended when they lost to Espanyol in the 1st leg of Copa Del rey quarter finals but they picked up on Sunday as they defeated Real Betis at an away game to came 19 points clear of Real Madrid .Croatia international Ivan Rakitic scored the first goal in the 59th minute with Messi and Suarez picking a brace to give Barcelona a landslide victory.

Paulinho, Iniesta, Dembele ,Coutinho were off the pitch  due to injuries as the team managed to get 3 points. Brazilian international Phillipe Coutinho has not been able to make his first debut for the team since he joined the LaLiga giants due to hamstring injuries but Enersto Valverde told the conference that he will be able to play against Espanyol on Thursday in the 2nd leg of Kings Cup quarter final.

The team has been performing extremely well since the beginning of the season in both Champions league and LaLiga and they are hopes that with the newly arriving midfielder from Liverpool Phillipe Coutinho they be able to scoop more titles at the end of the season.
